About UW NOBCChE
The University of Washington chapter of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE, pronounced No-Be-Shay) aims to support and advance the success of Black chemists and chemical engineers students and professionals within the university and the wider community. This is a space to learn about our organization, our services, and how we make a difference. Our Mission
We are dedicated to providing professional and leadership development to Black students, faculty, and professionals in chemistry, chemical engineering, and allied STEM fields. Our mission is to foster a supportive environment that promotes the personal and professional development of Black chemists and chemical engineers through networking, mentorship, skill development, and community engagement. Join us in our mission to promote diversity excellence in STEM and advance your academic and professional careers while building a strong community among Black individuals in these fields at UW.


Activities
Welcome to our community of chemistry, chemical engineering, and STEM enthusiasts!

We offer local meetings for students, faculty, and professionals in these fields, as well as for student with undeclared majors who are interested in exploring.

We also engage in STEM advocacy and K-12 outreach to promote the importance of these fields. Join us and be a part of the future of science and technology!

Additionally, we provide networking opportunities for Black chemists and chemical engineers, mentorship programs to support professional growth and advancement, and host skill development workshops and seminars.
